Softball qualifies for ELITE 8 in COlumbus

For the fifth time in six years, the Pope Fastpitch team will be heading to the state finals in Columbus.  The Greyhounds will open play in the AAAAAA Elite 8 tournament on Thursday at 11am vs. Evans High School in the stadium.  After finishing fourth last year, Pope looks to get to Saturday’s championship game.

Pope Softball wins 2017 Region 7-AAAAAA Championship

There were multiple nail biting moments and it took all 3 games of the best of 3 series, but Pope was able to emerge victorious over defending region and defending state champion Cambridge High school to secure the 2017 region softball championship.
