Pope’s pitching and defense were on full display Tuesday night in the Hound’s 11-1 run-rule win in six innings against the River Ridge Knights at River Ridge High School. Pope’s defense was perfect and committed no errors, turned two double plays, and threw out two base runners trying to steal. Three Pope pitchers combined to limit River Ridge to four hits, strike out nine, and retire the side in order in three of six innings.
