The Hounds beat Roswell in a hard-fought, come from behind victory, scoring with 5 second left to break the tie. It was a total team effort as the Hounds fought back after giving up a first half lead, showing a grit and determination that is indicative of this team.
The offense was lead by the #WeBeforeMe Player of the Game and #ShieldBearer Lily Martin who was an absolute sniper from her free position shots, tallying nine total goals.
The Hounds dominated the draw circle as Olivia Thomas and Reagan Helms managed to keep possession of the ball with MG Tibbs’ tenacious work on the circle leading to groundball after groundball.
The defense unit put in a solid effort led by captain Sam Erwin, Kasey D’Eloia, Cam Haag, Ally Heinrich, and Chloe Patterson shutting down opponents opportunities.
Goalie McKenna Sye shined in her varsity debut, coming in clutch with some huge saves and a stellar 58% save percentage.
