Centennial High School
The Hounds shut-out the Knights 10-0 in 5 innings. It was Ryan Webb who got the start and win for Pope. With the win, he became the all-time career wins leader at Pope High School. He pitched 4 innings and had 5 strike-outs. Harris East got the save. The Hounds jumped out to 1-0 lead in the 1st inning on a Caden Smith RBI. In the 3rd inning, Pope scored two more runs on RBIâs by Jared Miller and Antonio Jareno to make the score 3-0 in the bottom of the 3rd. Jake Pralgo, who went 2/3 with 2 doubles, got things started for the Hounds in the bottom of the 4th inning when he doubled to left field. Michael Wynne remained hot and hit a 2-run home run and finished with 2RBIs, had 2 walks and was HBP. Jared Miller added to his RBI total with a triple to right center field and finished with 2 RBIs for the game. Caden Smith scored 2 more RBIs on a double and finished with 3 RBIs. At the end of 4 innings, Pope was up 9-0. In the bottom of the 5th, Parker Orr finished off the Knights, when he hit an RBI that ended the game on a mercy rule. Final score Pope 10-0. Pope is 19-1 overall and 10-0 in the region. They are currently #1 in the state and #7 in the country. They play tonight at 5:55 at Cambridge HS.
